Weather Continues to Challenge Maintenance Activities

What a difference a year makes. Last fall, we received a lot of rain in the end of September and early October then went relatively dry until November.This year, we were dry until mid October but it has rained almost daily since. In addition, it has been significantly warmer than normal. Combined, the conditions are making it tough to effectively maintain landscaping.

With the warm temperatures, lawns are continuing to grow, but the heavy rains make mowing difficult and can cause damage to the lawns. Unfortunately, we have little choice but to mow as the longer we wait, the longer the lawns get and the more difficult it becomes. We are monitoring weather and our crews are on call to work or not based on weather. We are working on all dry days, regardless or which days those are.

  
In addition, we are starting leaf removal and with the strong winds, have had a lot of clean-up of leaves and debris added to our priorities. We are trying as hard as we can to keep your site clean and manicured but the weather is not assisting. We will keep you updated as the conditions unfold.
