Summer Flower Planting Nearing Completion

June is always bittersweet. Just as the Pansies are in peak color, we begin to remove them to plant the summer flowers.  We do this for two reasons. First, Pansies do not withstand normal summer heat and fade as warmer summer weather gets here. Second of all, we want to get the new flowers in before it gets too hot so they can get established.

Now, every change out does not go off without a few bugs. This year after a few bouts of hot weather early in our planting schedule burned a few plantings and the following cooler rainy weather are impacting some plantings too. Our Zinneas in the Fiesta Mix and Yellow Coleus in the Fire and Shade Mix are showing the most signs of stress. We are monitoring and believe that most will bounce back soon. Most plants like warmer weather to thrive well and that is just around the corner. By the early part of July, most should be thriving and in full bloom. June is always a challenge as the weather varies so much.

We are excited for this summer and hope you are pleased with your display if you have flowers.  As we always have, we are using some new flowers and combinations. We love to provide variety and unique displays. Not every one of you will like every display so your feedback is always welcome to give you what you like most. http://www.pacscape.com/services/seasonal-color.php
