Two new orders from San Juan Public Health and the San Juan Sheriff's Department were released today:

Effective Saturday, March 28, 2020,
Arches and Canyonlands National Parks
will be closed to all park visitors until further notice.
All vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians are prohibited from entering any park areas, including campgrounds, trails, backcountry, and roads. Any recreational use of the parks is in violation of this closure.

San Juan County is currently soliciting Request for Interest (RFI) for hotels willing to provide emergency isolation or quarantine services during the COVID-19 period. Letters of interest are due by March 31, 2020 by 4PM. Please click the button below to review the complete RFI.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans
(EIDL) -- As of 3/27/20
Small non-farm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture
and
most private nonprofit organizations
of any size may qualify for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.

With the
Federal Relief
funding we know of
two
SBA programs:
- The SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans applications are currently OPEN and available directly through the SBA. For information on how to apply follow this link: http://bit.ly/2QsQiXV
- The proposed addition to the SBA 7a loan, which will be called the "Payment Protection Loan (PPP)." This will be made available through your local SBA lender. Please click on button below for more information.
Likely businesses will only be able to receive assistance from one source. With this being said, we are still encouraging all businesses to apply for both--this will ensure that you have the opportunity to participate in whichever program you choose. As a reminder, the "Payment Protection Loan" is currently not available but will be through your local SBA lender. If you are interested, we would advise touching base with your local lender now. In San Juan County that includes Zions and Wells Fargo.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL)

If you are considering to apply for SBA disaster relief funding we understanding the process can be somewhat daunting. We've linked SBA's 3-step application process as well as a loan assistance application guide (as a note, we continue to add helpful tips to this guide as local businesses are applying--if there is anything you would recommend we add please let us know).
ELIGIBLE ENTITIES:
- Applicants must meet the SBA requirements of a small business (500 employees or
- fewer)
- Businesses directly affected by COVID-19
- Businesses that offer services directly related to the businesses in the declaration
- Other businesses indirectly related the industry that are likely to be harmed by losses in their community (Example: Manufacturer of widgets may be eligible as well as the wholesaler and retailer of the product)
- Small non-farm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture
INELIGIBLE ENTITIES:
- Religious Organizations
- Charitable Organizations
- Gambling Concerns (Ex: Concerns that derive more than 1/3 of their annual gross
- revenue from legal gambling activities)
- Casinos & Racetracks (Ex: Businesses whose purpose for being is gambling (e.g., casinos, racetracks, poker parlors, etc.) are not eligible for EIDL assistance regardless of 1/3 criteria above.
- Cannabis Industry
