COVID-19 Update 6.0
San Juan County - Utah's Canyon Country
Thursday 19 March 2020
Dear Partner-

Our initial update for the day is a request for all businesses to complete the following survey being put out by the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) and the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED). The survey was created in conjunction with the Utah Economic Response Task Force (referenced below). The intent is to collect your insights regarding how to reduce the economic impacts for businesses affected by COVID-19.

Additional  resources for Utah businesses  are being evaluated and your input will help inform policy decisions. We will also collect and share your experiences on ways your businesses are already innovating to rise to these challenges.

This survey should take less than five minutes to complete. We need to have San Juan County represented in this data. If you are willing, please take the survey & share ( http://bit.ly/3b7RRCD ) !
Governor Herbert has established an Economic Response Task Force through the Governor’s Economic Council. The is to "Flatten the Dip" in regards to supporting the business community and over economic prosperity for the state of Utah.

The three goals of the task force include:
  1. Launching a new business resource webpage: www.coronavirus.utah.gov/business
  2. Assess and make policy recommendations
  3. Communicate

They are following the adage "adapt, innovate, and overcome."

They will hold regular teleconference town halls -- we will be sure to communicate these meeting times.
Congressman Curtis' office has provided the following resources regarding outlines of what is currently happening at the federal and state level.
Senator Mike Lee's staff has provided the following information for small businesses and mid-size businesses.
If you are considering to apply for SBA disaster relief funding we understanding the process can be somewhat daunting. We've linked SBA's 3-step application process as well as a loan assistance application guide.
