SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the COVID-19
The Governor's Office of Economic Development has been working closely with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to secure low-interest loans for small businesses that have been affected by COVID-19.

At this point, they are close to securing the loan funds, but we still need to demonstrate a need for assistance from the small-business community. Each county has been asked to demonstrate an economic impact to small businesses, I invite you to complete attached Estimate Disaster Economic Injury Worksheet below. Once completed, please submit it to Janna Wilkinson ( Jannawilkinson@utah.gov ) from Utah's Department of Emergency Management.   She will then process the form and send it directly to the SBA as part of the process of receiving loan funds for our small businesses.

Once Utah has secured a low-interest loan program from the SBA, small businesses will be encouraged to apply for funding through the following website:  https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance

Please note, Governor Herbert and his entire staff are working tirelessly to expedite the process of securing loan funds for our business community. We anticipate finalizing a loan package by early next week, so your timely cooperation and partnership in completing this information is appreciated.
