Autumn's here, there's a chill in the air, and it's time to find a nice warm spot and hunker down for the winter
BUT WE ARE NOT HUNKERERS
.
Instead we have a beefy schedule of builds to keep us lean and mean through the coming months with stops in Big Sky country, the Pacific Northwest, the south, and a handful of projects right here in our backyard.
And don't think our designers are slouching either -- our team is hard at work on dreaming up new homes, modifying our existing ones, and helping clients build houses that bridge the gap between green and gorgeous.
This update includes:

RECENTLY FINISHED HOMES
NEW PHOTOGRAPHY FROM OUR BUILD IN
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
But first, a look back on our project from this past spring...

When
Cliff Point Estates
asked us to be part of their project in Kodiak, Alaska we promptly designed two houses, a community entry gate worthy of Yellowstone National Park, and prepped our field team for a trip north to install the timber frames and the wall and roof panels.
Since we left Kodiak in June (after spending five weeks on the remote island), we've been hopeful and curious about what the finished project might look like.

This fall, the team at Cliff Point completed a ton of work — and one of the homes, The Kodiak Olive, is complete.
|
|
Our team designed and assembled this 4,600 sq. ft. residence with an ultra-efficient building envelope that combines
structural insulated panels
with load bearing, hand-crafted timbers. The home is air-tight, insulated, and features open-concept living space with integrated porches and patios surrounding the exterior.
As our field team will confirm — this particular location is stunning with unobstructed views of mountains, ocean, and wildlife in all directions.

|
The contracting team at Cliff Point is one of a kind, with outstanding, boots-on-the-ground leadership from project manager, Joe Chaulklin. His drive and his tireless approach powered this build from foundation to completion in just six months. Any potential buyers (the house and multiple lots are for sale) are in experienced hands with Joe at the helm.

Kim is the total package.
|
A gear-junkie with technical chops, an education in fine art, and a working background in interior design, Kim is our favorite photographer, not just for the masterful work she produces but also for the way she represents us in the field.
We can think of no finer, more intelligent, hard working, or devoted photographer to send into our clients' homes.
Take a look at some of the projects that Kim has shot for us followed by some all-world photos from her latest Timberbuilt adventure — a trip into the remote wilderness outside of Glacier National Park.

|
A few summers ago we sent a ten man team into a remote section of northern Montana to build this house on the shores of the North Fork River. Just this past month we sent our photographer, Kim Smith, back to the edge of Glacier to give us a look at the home as it stands now.
