Online Student Resources for Fall 2020
An online resource is also available for all students. This course is built to provide you with as much information as possible about the various technologies you'll be using to learn beyond just Canvas.

You can enroll into this resources course using the self-enrollment link here, or you can access the student resources via the Canvas Logins page.

Additionally, the Canvas & Online Student Resources KnowledgeBase document is updated regularly to ensure you have the most accurate information about Canvas, third party tools, NetTutor, and more.
Canvas Tier 1 Support Available 24/7
Canvas offers Tier 1 Support for all faculty and students 24/7, 365 days a year. If you have a question about Canvas or need help finding something, please contact Tier 1 Support first as they are able to impersonate accounts and troubleshoot directly, something our admin team is unable to do.

You can access Tier 1 Support by logging in to Canvas and clicking on the Help button located at the bottom of the gray left hand navigation bar. You can search the Canvas Guides , chat online, email, or call. The phone number for student support is: 1 (833) 820-4070
Download the Navigate student app
Navigate is a student success management system that you'll be utilizing for things like scheduling advisor appointments and finding campus resources this fall.

The app is available both for Android and Apple phones, and you'll log into Navigate Student using your UW-Parkside credentials.

You can setup Navigate to send you push notifications for things like advising appointments, updates, and reminders.
Attend the Virtual Internship & Career Fair on October 8!
Parkside’s Advising and Career Center has been planning new ways to help you prepare for your job search and connect with employers virtually. This fall, we are excited to host a Virtual Internship & Career Fair on Thursday, October 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The event will be located entirely on Handshake, which can be found using this link.

Engage with recruiters by attending group info sessions and arranging 1:1 meetings with company representatives. Make sure you check the event page periodically should there be additional employer registrations, info sessions, and 1:1 meeting blocks.

Information about the event and how to prepare for the fair can be found on the Advising and Career Center events page. Use Navigate to schedule an appointment with an advisor or Career Ambassador in the Advising and Career.
Fall 2020 Tutoring at the PARC
The Parkside Academic Resource Center will be open for tutoring both online and in person during the Fall 2020 semester.

Hours for Tutoring:
  • Face to Face & Online:
  • Monday - Thursday: 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
  • Online Only:
  • Sunday - Thursday: 7:00pm - 10:00pm
All SI sessions will be held online.

NetTutor will also be available for 24/7 online tutoring. To access NetTutor, go to any of your courses in Canvas and click on the NetTutor link on the course navigation bar!
Download the Canvas Student app
Did you know that there is a Canvas mobile app for students? Download Canvas Student on your mobile device to access your courses wherever you are!

You can keep track of your course calendars, submit assignments, take quizzes, and more all from the palm of your hand! (Though we don't necessarily recommend the quiz part due to potential errors.) This is a great way to track your Canvas notifications such as when a new grade gets posted or when your instructor makes an announcement.

Just search for “Canvas Student” in Google Play or App Store!
Microsoft Office Suite FREE Online
Students have access to online versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a host of other apps available for free with your UW-Parkside credentials.

Simply log into your Rangermail account to access the apps (shown on the left) within the Microsoft Suite. Store assignments in your OneDrive account, take notes with OneNote, and more.

Desktop versions of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel can also be downloaded by students for use until graduation.
