Meet the Staff
Jean-Pierre “J-P” Frossard will serve as our Government Coordination Committee Chair. J-P was born in France and at age 11 (1980) moved to Athens Georgia, staying until 1997. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 76, where he eventually became Scoutmaster. J-P earned his Wood Badge beads in 1988 and was bestowed the Vigil Honor in Mowogo Lodge 243 of the Order of the Arrow as a youth in 1987. He served on the Training staff for National OA Conferences in 2000 and 2002.
J-P moved to England in 1997, joining Transatlantic Council’s Mayflower District. He now serves as Assistant District Commissioner, and as District Training Committee chair.
He enjoyed staffing Camp Baden Powell in England for a few years, as well as our Normandy Camporees since 2002 in various roles including coordination of the staff at Port’land in 2019.
When not Scouting, J-P works for the UK’s Animal and Plant Health Agency, as a senior research scientist in the emerging virus research unit and as a biological safety and security officer.
J-P's wife Sarah also volunteers in various roles with the BSA.
Much of the work J-P and his committee will be doing is well in advance of the camporee, so they are quickly getting their plans in place.
