A Message from Your Executive Vice President Cynthia Blankenship, Esq.

As IACP Highlights the IACP Committee Chairs, we are excited to announce a brand new Committee Chair for the IACP Fundraising Committee, Lizzie Harbin.  We are so fortunate to have someone with such talent and passion leading this committee.  We hope you feel you know your Committee Chairs a little better after reading this series of emails. I also hope you can see how excited they are for everything we are launching in 2018.

IACP is so pleased and thankful for our IACP Committee Chairs and members.

They have answered the call to help lead this organization by driving the committee agendas pursuant to the IACP Strategic Plan. Our Committee Chairs put their hearts and souls into making IACP a member-driven organizationThey are creative, passionate and outright amazing!

The IACP Committees are strong and they are undertaking incredible work. They are designing programs, planning IACP events, and bringing you more members' benefits. They are working tirelessly to preserve patient access to compounded medications.

If you haven't had the chance to get to know your Committee Chairs, please take a moment to look at our recent articles - Part One, Part Two, Part ThreePart Four and Part Five.

We will also be highlighting our incredible board members as well.  These highlights will be coming soon!

We conclude this edition of highlighting the IACP Committee Chairs by bringing you a message from Lizzie Harbin as she tells us why she became passionate about joining IACP Committees and how she now carries that passion with her as she Chairs the Fundraising Committee!

Hear from Lizzie Harbin, Chair of the IACP Fundraising Committee

Why are you excited about being chair?
I am excited about the opportunity to volunteer for IACP, work with members in a collaborative environment, raise money to help ensure patients have access to compounded medications and to return to my roots at IACP. IACP is where I started my career in compounding in 2003. I also enjoy developing successful fundraising strategies and leading teams.

What are you most excited about for 2018?
I am most excited to see the committee come together and work closely with IACP staff to develop a plan and winning strategy that works for everyone.

How valuable are the members of your IACP Committee?
A pledge to One Fund - $1,000 - $10,000. An IACP member donating their time to the fundraising committee or any other IACP effort -
priceless! Members of this committee have tremendous value and we welcome more joining us in strategy, planning, making the ask, etc.

Why did you decide to get involved with IACP Committees?
I got involved because I was asked and I believe in the mission.

What advice do you have for your fellow IACP members to become more involved with their Academy?
Say yes, if asked! We need your help. It is rewarding to give back to your profession.  Get involved, we need at least 400 pharmacists at CCH this year. I hope to see you in Washington and I may ask you to help serve alongside me! Thank you in advance.

We heard your requests to update IACP events and implement new programs! In 2018, we are going to debut new programming at all IACP events!
  • Debuting New Programs and Events to Recognize Members: Your Education Committee, led by IACP President-elect Jennifer Burch, has worked diligently to choose speakers who address your specific content requests, and has implemented new programs recognizing IACP Members and IACP Corporate Members. We hope you enjoyed our new programs at January's Educational Conference! We were so pleased to recognize several IACP Members and Corporate Members during the January 2018 Educational Conference held in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
