Scouting for Clean Waterways
Scouting for Clean Waterways, Scouting America’s latest initiative, empowers Scouts of all ages to tackle the growing issue of marine debris through hands-on conservation projects. While many units may participate around Earth Day 2025 (April 22), Scouts can join in anytime throughout the year—no matter how far they live from a body of water. Cub Scouts can complete projects through the Champions for Nature elective Adventure, while Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts can earn service hours toward rank advancement. This initiative offers a simple, fun way for Scouts to make a real difference in protecting ecosystems and wildlife.
