Eleanor Roosevelt: American Politician, Diplomat, and Activist

Instructor Toni Fuss Kirkwood-Tucker, Ed.D. shares a fascinating look at the woman historians consider to be the most active and progressive thinking First Lady, with her accomplishments as social reformer, voracious writer, and fearless advocate for civil rights. Manatee Program at Jacksonville Zoo
Wed., March 5, 7:00 am – 6:30 pm
Travel to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens via luxury motorcoach. We will spend the morning learning about manatees and exploring the conservation initiatives at the zoo. We will visit the Manatee Critical Care Center facility for an informative tour and learn about the care of manatees, including critical care and in the wild. We will also visit the FWC field lab. Afterwards, you will explore the zoo on your own. REGISTER HERE

Capital City Senior Games kick off
Wednesday, February 26 at 6:00 pm
Like the Olympics, the Senior Games begin with a Torch Run.
Cheer on the athletes as they carry the flame around Cascades Park!
Join us at Cascades Park at 6pm for the Torch Run
Participate in the 1-mile Fun Walk immediately afterwards
A food truck will be on site. Bring the family and invite your friends to help kick off the 16th Annual Capital City Senior Games!

AARP Tax Aide This year, AARP is offering both In-Person and Drop-off Service. With the convenient drop off service, you will leave your tax documents with an IRS-certified volunteer who will prepare your return. During a second visit, you will work together to finalize your return, file it and leave with a printed copy of the return and your original documents.
