 Our friend and long-time member, Kathleen Pappas, passed away Monday, July 26 at home. She was the Sales Manager for the Bucks County Playhouse. She will be greatly missed by our community.

Bridgestone Americas Acquiring Azuga To Improve Fleet Safety
 Holdings Inc., a fleet management software provider, for $391 million to improve fleet safety at the replacement tire maker.
Azuga has developed a fleet management platform with GPS tracking and accident reduction services to improve road safety and reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear. 8th Annual Motorcoach Safety & Preparedness Workshop Held
After two long years, PBA held its first in-person event. The 8th Annual Motorcoach Safety & Preparedness Workshop was held on August 11 at the York Springs Fire Hall. We had a great turn-out and some special guests, too! W e are so thankful to the speakers and for the sponsor support. Driver and Employee of Distinction Awards - Deadline September 1
This program is supported by our operator members to honor a special driver or employee who has performed exceptionally well and deemed worthy of recognition. The deadline is September 1st to get your nomination in. Submit an online nomination or you can download and email/mail the form.

The newly formed Legislative and Advocacy Committee meeting had their first meeting August 4th. Currently, the committee has three (3) members and are looking to add PBA members. Revised Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form Must be Used on August 30, 2021
On August 17, 2020, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved a revised Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF). In addition, OMB authorized the use of the old form through August 29, 2021. As of August 30, 2021, DOT-regulated employers and their service agents [collectors, laboratories, Medical Review Officers] must use the 'revised CCF'. Read more...
FMCSA's Loretta Bitner Shares Update With Operators
In Spring 2020, the FMCSA allowed bus and motorcoach operators to voluntarily revoke their operating authority to reduce costs as their revenues plummeted during the pandemic.
"Now that people are starting to get back to work and things are picking up, you may want to renew that operating authority," said FMCSA's Loretta Bitner, adding that the reinstatement fee can be waived for passenger carriers that voluntarily revoked their authority.
