Rural students of color are fighting back against racism in majority white schools

Racist bullying on high school campuses is on the rise. The increase comes as more rural residents identify as multiracial and their children are attending majority white schools that can be hostile. KQED's Julia McEvoy reports from one California high school where students of color are taking action.

Committee Updates

We have noticed that some people are not wearing their masks properly in the BSL2*. Masking is still a requirement on the ZSFG campus.

The weather is getting warmer. Reminder that appropriate attire must be worn in lab. No shorts, open toed shoes, etc.

Vanessa will be sending out the revised Safety Manual and the Emergency Action Plan.

Due to increased hiring an online calendar for booking biosafety cabinets in the BSL2s and the BSL2* is being set up and the link will be sent out.

Vanessa is confirming all freezers for the RAB equipment survey. If you haven’t let Vanessa know about planned purchases, please do so.

Aurora Analysis computer has been set up. CIL will be in contact with a plan for using the computer so please don’t use it yet.
