Carmel Family & Friends:
In Sunday's study of Acts, we read the call of Christ to His followers to be His witnesses "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8b). These parts of the world are now home to millions of Muslims, who, just last night, began a month of fasting, prayer and seeking God called Ramadan.
Closer to home, we have family, friends and neighbors who have yet to know the hope that comes only through Jesus. The call to be His witnesses remains for us today.
During our study of Acts, we will celebrate stories of God's work in and through the "witness" of our own church family. Today, meet Hema Hopper - part of the Carmel family since 2000.
Hema loves Jesus and her family, is a prayer warrior, comes from a 7th generation Indian Christian family and, at one point, was a DJ! Read here about a time when she was "wrestling with the Lord," what happened when she renewed her commitment to abide in Him and how He answered her prayer "Use me where You want to use me Lord..."

P.S.
Preschool Moms are gathering TONIGHT for Mom's Time Out! They'll have a time of fellowship and hear from fellow Carmel mom, Elizabeth Poplin (teacher of our Awaken Bible study and co-founder of Ember Charlotte). It's not too late to register to participate on campus or online, just click here!
Reminder! As we enter new seasons and rhythms as a church family, we are pausing our Wednesday 7am Online Prayer Gathering during the month of April. Be sure to check our social media at 7am tomorrow for a video from Pastor Alex that will keep us in this weekly rhythm.
