Management Update
Jamie Patterson | Community Manager | jpatterson@ccmcnet.com
Where did May go?? I think it was blown away with the pool furniture. We are excited to have the pool open, and we enjoy seeing you as you come and go at the Amenity Center. Feel free to stop by the offices to say Hi.

Pool Updates
  • Supervision: Many of you are already enjoying the pool. Please remember that a chaperone must accompany children under the age of 16. The pool is a swim at your own risk pool, there are no monitors or lifeguards on duty.
  • Toys: Hard balls/toys such as footballs/rugby balls/volleyballs etc. are not permitted in the pool. Soft pool toys are acceptable.
  • Safety: No one should be on or in the planter by the waterfall. Anyone found running, jumping, or climbing around that area will be removed from the pool for the day. We don't want any injuries in or around the pool.
  • Access Cards: We discovered a system error, and some access cards have been deactivated. We think we have all cards entered. If you experience any issues, please contact the management team.
  • Spin Bikes: The spin bikes in the amenity center are for resident use. They are not toys and are not for children. Please do not allow children under age 14 on the spin bikes.

Development Updates
  • Edwards Road: The development team has been working on grading Edwards Road in preparation for the chipseal to be completed next week. Chipseal is a pavement surface treatment that combines one or more layers of asphalt with one or more layers of fine aggregate. Expect one-lane traffic and delays on the gravel sections of League and Edwards Road.
  • Pet Stations: Pet waste professionals marked locations for the waste stations and ordered the equipment. The installation will be completed in the next two to three weeks, depending on the delivery of supplies.
  • Phase Three: The team has started working on Phase three. Some trees were removed; however, they are finished clearing the area.
  • Phase Four C: The team expects to have lots ready to release to builders in July.
Pet Tips from Jackie
Jackie | Community Pet | Jackie@ccmcnet.com

Say Hello to Jackie. Jackie is my two-year-old male chocolate and black lab mix. He is named after Jackie Robinson; he loves baseball. He enjoys running, playing outside, and splashing in the water before retiring to his King-sized bed in the evenings. We are encouraged to use our resources, and every once in a while, I need to rely on my "Petcerpt!" Jackie might pop up from time to time to help answer questions and provide some petiquette reminders so we can live in harmony at Sonoma Verde. Feel free to email Jackie your pet questions.
Woof! On behalf of dogs everywhere, WE LOVE HUMANS. We also love long walks, tasty treats, and the green grass at the park. But when we got to go, we got to go. You can help us keep the grass green by picking up pet waste along the way (you should know, we totally would if we could pick up after ourselves).

-Your Best Friend, Jackie
Community Standards
Do you or someone you know in the community have a beautifully manicured lawn?

We are excited to announce a Yard of the Month program Sponsored by Sarah Naylor with Keller Williams.

What should you be looking for when submitting a yard? It's more than just mowing the lawn. Check out the More Info / Program Criteria link below.

Each month residents can submit their vote for the best-looking yard in the community. The winner will have a Yard of the Month sign display for up to 5 days and receive a gift basket from Sarah. You may begin voting for June now. The winner will be announced on July 8.

Community Maintenance
Sports Courts: Thank you! The amount of trash left on the courts has diminished some. Trash cans are installed at both entry points. Please properly dispose of your empty drink and food containers.

Parking Lot Extension: The additional parking area is completed. The development team is still working to address the drainage issue; however, the new parking area is ready for use.

Entry Lighting: We are aware that the entry lights are not working. We thought it was just a breaker tripped; however, there is a power issue. We have contacted an electrician and expect to have repairs made today.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is typically an excellent reason for people to kick start their summer with a backyard BBQ, a trip to the beach, or a day at the park.

Americans from coast to coast will relish some downtime and relaxation during this time.

No matter how you spend this Memorial Day weekend and Memorial Day itself, the holiday offers a chance for the solemn remembrance of those who served our country and are no longer here on Earth with us but who are forever in our hearts.

We hope you have a safe holiday!

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?

My grandmother told me not to mess with my belly button, or it may pop, and all the air would escape. I carry a band-aid with me in case I spring a leak!

When I was young, my mom used to tell me not to cross my eyes or they would stick!
