Rapids Elite winter futsal leagues feature seven weeks of intensive, high-level play for advanced athletes looking to improve their play over the winter months. Elite players are invited to develop technique and skill in a competitive environment this November - January (Winter League Session 1).

Saturday Futsal Clinics (February 10 - March 2): Improve your skills and accelerate your development every Saturday! Futsal clinics at The Berce Futsal Facility on Regis University's campus offer players the opportunity to grow in new areas of futsal development during the cold months. These clinics are open to boys and girls ages 8U to 13U (born in 2016-2011).

Friday Night High School Girls Preseason Futsal Clinic (January 26 - March 1): Get ahead of the pack with Elite indoor training! Girls born between 2009 – 2005 will have the opportunity to hone technical/tactical skills while building a foundation of self-confidence. Join nationally-renowned coach, Roxy Kamal to get your feet and fitness in tip-top shape before the high school soccer season kicks off.

WINTER ELITE CAMPS AT REGIS UNIVERSITY

Elite players are invited to join us this winter for our highest-level camps!

This Winter, CRYSC will host multiple two-day Elite camps at Regis University. The 2023/24 holiday season starts this November, and we're excited to offer more development-focused opportunities than ever before to help players improve their skills before the spring.

LAST CALL Thanksgiving 2-Day Camp (November 20-21): This two-day camp creates the opportunity for boys and girls to further improve their understanding and application of defending and attacking principles. Using various age and stage-appropriate practices, coaches will look to address several key areas in both of these components of the game in the defensive third and final attacking zones.

Holiday 2-Day Camp (December 16-17): Over two full days, Elite Department Coaches will work with players to develop their creative side. The ability of players to make an impact in a game can come down to brief moments. Insightful passes, imaginative movements off the ball, and technical mastery in possession are all difference-makers. Rapids Elite staff will look to base this camp on attacking options created as individuals or as a team in the final two-thirds of the field.

COLLEGE PLACEMENT 2023/24 FALL INFO & RESOURCES | UPDATED BLOG!

SportsRecruits Information 2023: All high school players have been provided with a FREE account on the SportsRecruits platform that will allow them to set up an athletic and academic profile, search for potential colleges, create and host highlight videos, and communicate directly with any college soccer coach in the country! The Rapids College Placement Program recommends that student-athletes and their families take advantage of this opportunity by completing their profile with an updated photo, GPA, jersey number, email, and graduation year!

CRYSC offers athletes assistance in the college recruitment process through the CRYSC College Placement Program (CPP) starting their freshman year in high school. This free service helps teams and individuals with player profiles, video development, online support guides, college communication, and understanding of college timelines. The CPP provides players with the opportunity to take their education and game to the next level.

If you want to get involved or have questions about the program, please contact Anthony Presnell at anthony.presnell@rapidsyouthsoccer.org or visit the college soccer page on the CRYSC website!

IT'S ALL CONNECTED | SPORT PSYCH

Read about how connection & belonging are central to our ability to thrive!

In this updated blog, CRYSC's Director of Mental Performance Katie Pagel explains how connection and belonging are crucial for better mental, physical, and behavioral health both on and off the field.

"No matter who we are or what we do, it comes down to this: There is no substitute for connection and belonging. Quality social connections and feelings of belonging are the cornerstones of every facet of our health. As it turns out, they also lend us a number of advantages on a soccer field. But the payoff of connection and belonging isn’t experienced simply by spending a lot of time around people or having a large circle of friends. In order for us to truly connect and belong, we have to allow ourselves to be seen. Alongside creating environments (on and off the field) that invite others to do the same, and appreciating brave authenticity, doing so sets the stage for all of us to thrive."

IT'S ALL CONNECTED | UPDATED BLOG!

CRYSC is committed to building psychologically safe, growth-oriented, high-performing soccer environments for all of our athletes, coaches, families, and fans to thrive in and enjoy. A part of that commitment is to provide resources that our community can use to assess real-world situations. Check out the Sport Psych webpage to learn more about the department and view mental health resources!
