Youth Opportunities


Voices for Virginia’s Children is establishing a cohort of young changemakers (ages 15-25) for our new advocacy council, Virginia’s Youth in Action. Participants will be compensated $2000 & receive monthly training through May 2023. To learn more, click here. Deadline to apply is October 9.


The C. Waldo Scott Center for H.O.P.E. is offering a scholarship opportunity for youth and adult residents of the Southeast community of Newport News who are interested in pursuing vocational education. The deadline to apply is November 1. To learn more, click here.


Prudential Emerging Visionaries awards young people who create solutions to financial and societal challenges. Entries are being accepted from people ages 14 to 18. Awards range from $5,000 to $10,000. The final entry deadline is November 3. To learn more, click here.
