Encouraged and Built Up

A Carmel teen shared this reflection on the impact his dad's Journey Men's Group has had on both their lives...

I'm glad my dad is part of a men's group. While I don't go with him each week, I know I can, even as a teenager. The group, it turns out, wasn't just for my dad...it was for me, too.

You see, a few months ago my parents found out I had been looking at porn. To be honest, neither of them knew exactly how to react. I think my parents were very hurt and I'm sure mad. I was ashamed and clueless what to do next. I was wondering if I would ever be trusted or looked at the same, especially by my mom.

Volunteers Needed!
With CMS moving to all virtual school, parents across our city are struggling to provide safe, supervised environments for their children to learn. Several of our ministry partners are working to offer solutions to vulnerable kids. If you are available at least once a week for a morning or early afternoon shift, we need you! This is a wonderful, tangible way to care for and support the most vulnerable in our community during difficult times.  Email neighbors@carmelbaptist.org for more details.
