Dear Partner,
SBA’s PPP program,   received its initial infusion of $350B, that amount is slated to run out today or tomorrow. There are conversations of another federal infusion allowing for another round of PPP loans. We highly advise, if you missed this initial phase to touch base with a local SBA approved lender--such as Zions Bank and start with the initial application steps.
The Utah Legislature will begin their Special Session tomorrow. Here is a current summary of bills to be discussed:
Alternative business funding has opened throughout the country. Here is a list of options created by the Colorado Office of Economic Development, some are Colorado specific--however many include nationally available grant/loan options.
The Governor’s Office of Economic Development: CLOSES TOMORROW
Round 2 of the Utah Leads Together Small Business Bridge Loan Program opened up on  Monday, April 13 th  at 8:00 am and will be closing on Thursday, April 16 th  at 12:00 pm noon (MST) . 

For those who are interested in applying, please visit:  https://business.utah.gov/utah-leads-together-small-business-bridge-loan-program/ .  As a reminder, for-profit businesses and 501(c)(3)s are eligible to apply for this round of funding.

Please plan ahead in this application. Prior to submitting a complete application there is a "pre-application" that can take up to a day to process.
Fintech companies including PayPal, Intuit and Square have all been approved to participate in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA)  Paycheck Protection Program :
With the PPP loan opening for sole proprietors and 1099 contractors , we recommend businesses with questions regarding application in these categories and as a small business join the World Trade Center and Lendio for a webinar on how to apply.

The State of Utah’s Department of Workforce Services is finding new ways to meet the needs of our changing economy. With the influx of unemployed workers caused by the COVID-1 pandemic, and at a time of social distancing, DWS is rolling out its first ever Virtual Job Fair. Nearly 40 companies who have employment needs have signed up to participate.
 
Now is the time to reach out to job seekers. The statewide Virtual Job Fair will be held Thursday, April 16, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Registration details are found at  www.jobs.utah.gov   Job seekers can create an account to connect to the virtual job fair.

SBA 7a Personal Protection Program (PPP) Updates:
Funding for this program is distributed by SBA lenders, we advise you talk to your local SBA lender ASAP.

Please note changes in SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Advance .  In order to qualify for the Advance, you must submit this   new application  even if you previously (prior to 3/30/20) submitted an EIDL application. Applying for the Advance will not impact the status or slow your existing EIDL application.

Funds will be made available within three days of a successful application, and this loan advance will not have to be repaid.

In the 1980’s, Harry Goulding’s health was poor and he knew that the LaFont family, (dear friends of his,) could keep a promise Harry had made years before. That promise is based on the good of the community. In 1981, the LaFont family bought the property, the same year that Harry passed away. Soon after, Mike (Wife of Harry) returned to her home in Monument Valley, where she spent her final days knowing her husband’s promise would be kept.
