Yaa Gyasi Visits Tipp City
We were honored to host author Yaa Gyasi at Tippecanoe High School for a conversation on her Dayton Literary Peace Prize winning book, Homegoing. We thank our sponsors the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, American Library Association: Libraries Transforming Communities Grant, Tipp Foundation, Tippecanoe Educational Endowment, WYSO Public Radio, Robinson-Walters Family Fund, as well as the author, the students, community members, library staff, and high school faculty and staff who made this event a success. Students took part in a Q & A session after the presentation and produced a podcast for WYSO’s Dayton Youth Radio. We would also like to thank our partners the St. Paris Public Library, Champaign County Library, Mechanicsburg Public Library, and Triad Local Schools.
Fall Fun Has Arrived at TCPL
Don’t forget to register your family for the Fall Fun Challenge on your Beanstack account. If you attended the Waynesville Sauerkraut Festival or went to the Lost Creek Reserve for Miami County Parks Farm Days this past weekend, you’ve already completed one of the activities in the Fall Fun Challenge and will be rewarded with your first virtual badge when you log into your Beanstack account.

Come see the book display by the main check-out desk to help you with the “Autumn Reads” activity badge. Pick up a Discover Ohio Tourism booklet in the magazine section of the library to help you plan for the “Ohio Day Trip” activity badge.

If you didn’t participate in one of our previous Beanstack Challenges, ask a library staff member for help. You can also download the Beanstack app to your phone by scanning this QR code and then register.
Web Archives Submissions Wanted
The Tipp City Public Library Web Archives, spearheaded by Teen Librarian Grace McGann, are looking for website submissions from community members. Do you have a website you believe is important to Tipp City? Please fill out this form to submit a suggestion. These will each be reviewed by Grace and added to the collection if they fit criteria!

Please email gmcgann@tippcitylibrary.org if you have any questions.
