State of Education Luncheon
August 31 | VU's Green Activity Center
Join us for our next State of Series luncheon, the State of Education, presented by First Vincennes Savings Bank. Hear from our local county public school superintendents on what's happening in their schools this year.

The State of Education luncheon will be on Wednesday, August 31st at Vincennes University's Green Activity Center from 12-1 PM.

Tickets are $20/person. Registration is required to attend this event, and is due by Friday, August 26th.

Chamber partners with Good Samaritan and Siho Insurance Services to create Good Samaritan Direct Health
Good Samaritan Health Direct is a partnership between Good Samaritan and SIHO Insurance Services (headquartered in Columbus, IN). This new initiative allows Good Samaritan to continue its commitment to the community by providing excellent health care by promoting wellness, education, and high-quality service. The partnership with SIHO Insurance Services provides the ability for employers to receive enhanced analytical reporting, excellent customer service, as well as an ongoing partnership with a like-minded organization to exceed the expectation of customers.

As a key organization helping local employers within the area, Good Samaritan has also teamed up with Knox County Chamber of Commerce to share this product with the local community. Partnering with an association such as the Chamber allows Good Samaritan Health Direct even greater opportunity to meet with those desiring better access to quality and affordable health coverage for their workforce.

Small Business Grant Opportunity
Applications due Aug. 31
Southern Indiana Development Commission (SIDC) is working in partnership with the FHLBank Indianapolis to host a workshop about their upcoming Elevate Small Business Grant. 

If you are a small business in Daviess, Greene, Knox, Lawrence or Martin Counties and are interested in applying for the Elevate Small Business Grant, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to learn more. To submit a grant application and a chance to receive up to $20,000 for your business, you must partner with a financial institution that is a member of the FHLBank Indianapolis. 
Super Star Teacher of the Month!

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our newest program, Super Star Teacher of the Month!
Each month, we will make a Facebook post asking for nominations from the community where you have the chance to nominate your favorite teacher! At the end of the month, we will randomly select a teacher nominated and surprise that teacher and present them with $100 in school supplies for their classroom!

Want to nominate your favorite teacher? It's easy! All you have to do is comment on our Super Star Teacher post each month, and one teacher will be randomly selected as our winner for that month.

Our Super Star Teacher program is presented by Meeks Real Estate and Meeks Insurance, and our August sponsor is Trent Auto Sales!
We are currently looking for nominations for our August Super Star Teacher of the Month! Comment your nominations on the post pinned to the top of our Facebook page, and we will draw our winner at the end of the month!
