What's Going On At Grace

June 2 - Summer Worship Schedule begins (10am)

June 2, 4, 5, 9 - VBS volunteer training

June 17-21 - Vacation Bible School

June 23-30 - Family Promise

Beginning this Sunday,

June 2nd, we will switch to our summer worship schedule of one combined worship service at 10am! This summer schedule will run through June and July.

We look forward to worshiping all together this summer!

We also thank members of the Extending Church group for assisting with this project!

we will have info about a make-up date soon!

Thank You to our Sunday School leaders!

This past Sunday was our last Sunday School meeting of the season. We give thanks to the leaders who gave time and effort to help us in our mission of "growing together in faith" this year!

We share our thanks with Adele Evans, Tammie Harbert, Justin Anderson, Ruth Wasserman, Bob Wasserman, Pr. Gregg, and the men's class leadership rotation!

VBS Registration is Open!

June 17-21 + 9am-12pm

We are so excited to bring VBS back to Grace!

In this great week, we'll dive deep into an amazing undersea adventure where we'll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God.

Grace VBS is for kids 3 years old* - entering 6th Grade.

Older youth are invited to volunteer!

*Children must be potty-trained, or otherwise have an adult stay on site to take care of diaper/ pull-up changing.

VBS VOLUNTEERS AND TRAINING

We have many opportunities available for volunteers of all ages and interests!

All our volunteers will be trained according to the Grace Child Protection Policy, which can be requested in full from the church office.

There are 4 training opportunities for volunteers - each volunteer must attend one session:

+Sunday, June 2, after the 10am service

+Tuesday, June 4, 6pm

+Wednesday, June 5, 12pm

+Sunday, June 9, after the 10am service

If you absolutely cannot attend one of these options, you will need to arrange a meeting with Pr. Rachel for training before June 14th.

We welcome Laura, David and Darcy Brenneman to our Grace Family!

Laura and Dave are looking forward to participating in life at Grace!

Their daughter, Darcy (2), will be an exciting addition to our younger generation.

Laura and Dave both grew up in Connecticut but met later, due to their professions. Dave works at Piedmont Medical Center and is a colleague of Rick Richter. Laura is a nurse, and at this time, she is enjoying being a stay at home mom with Darcy.

They started attending Grace in 2022. Everyone they met was very welcoming, and the structure of worship service and general "feel" of being at Grace was very similar to that of their previous Lutheran and Methodist churches.

They love to travel, spend time outside and with their family and friends in the area. One of their favorite recent trips was to Switzerland. Fun facts – Dave is a pilot and they have both enjoyed skydiving!

They are looking forward to learning more about opportunities to become involved with Grace and to meet more of the congregation.
