DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS THIS WEEKEND
Please remember that Daylight Savings Time begins this Sunday, March 13. Don’t forget to change your clocks as we spring forward an hour!
CHANGE TO MASK PROTOCOL BEGINS TOMORROW
Please be reminded that, effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, CSArts-SGV will be operating under the revised on-campus mask requirements that were announced last week. After tomorrow, masking will be strongly recommended, but not required, for all students and staff, in alignment with guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for K-12 schools.

CSArts-SGV will continue to follow safety guidance and mitigation protocols from the CDPH, along with respecting the masking choice of each individual. We ask the CSArts-SGV community to please treat others with consideration and respect as everyone navigates their own preferences.
UPDATED EVENT PATRON AND PERFORMER POLICY
As announced yesterday, the CSArts-SGV Board of Trustees has made adjustments to the Event Patron and Performer Safety Policy to align with the new guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 12, event patrons no longer need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend a CSArts-SGV event or performance. Additionally, masks are strongly recommended, but no longer required, for event patrons. Please click here to view the full updated policy.
STUDENT DESIGN CONTEST VOTING TODAY
Thank you to all who submitted designs for the Student Design Contest! All of the submissions were incredible and it was so difficult to choose the final designs for our CSArts-SGV community to vote on. That being said, the time has finally come to vote for your favorite student design! Voting will take place TODAY, Friday, March 11, on the @CSArtsSGV Instagram story. Click here or the image below to cast your vote before the story expires!
SAVE THE DATE: ANNUAL PARENT MEETINGS
Attention parents/guardians of students in grades 7-11: The Annual Parent Meetings for the 2022-2023 school year, which were previously scheduled for January, will now take place in May! Please mark your calendars for these mandatory meetings, which will be held in person on the CSArts-SGV campus on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4 at 5:30 and 7 p.m. We can’t wait to see you!

At this meeting, you will hear from school leadership and your child’s conservatory director about a variety of important topics and goals pertaining to the 2022-2023 school year, including performance opportunities, arts and academic enrichment programming, and much more. They will also share an overview of the variety of ways you can support your child’s experience at CSArts-SGV.

Please remember that at least one parent/guardian from each family is required to attend this meeting once per school year as a part of the annual enrollment process. Stay tuned for the link to RSVP, coming soon!
HIGH SCHOOL CAASPP TESTING
Please be reminded that the mandated California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) Assessments will be administered during our annual testing period, Monday, April 4 - Thursday, April 7. These assessments are a great opportunity for our school to showcase our students' achievements.

For grade-specific information about these assessments, please refer to the email communications that were sent out earlier this week. Links to each communication can be found below:

If you have any questions, contact Principal Dr. Gregory Endelman at administration@sgv.csarts.net. Thank you for making sure your student is ready for testing!
HELP SUPPORT SEASON FINALE
We are pleased to announce the return of Season Finale & Auction, presented by the California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley Foundation! We are so proud of all our CSArts-SGV students and faculty have accomplished this year and cannot wait to celebrate together in person on Sunday, May 1 for this culminating event.

As a part of our festivities, we will be holding an inspiring five-day virtual auction from Wednesday, April 27 to Sunday, May 1, but we need your help! Please consider supporting Season Finale & Auction by donating an auction item, valued at $100 or more, by Friday, April 15. SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT CSARTS-SGV
While the original application deadline has already passed for prospective students to apply for the 2022-2023 school year at CSArts-SGV, there is still limited enrollment space available in select grades and conservatories for new students only. If you have friends or family with students entering grades 7-10 next fall, please encourage them to visit www.sgv.csarts.net/ApplyNow to learn more and to submit their application. Applications will be accepted as long as space remains available. Thank you for helping our amazing school community grow!

Please note that conservatory transfer applications for current CSArts-SGV students are already closed for the 2022-2023 school year.

The following are a few reminders to keep our school community safe and informed.
