Dear CSArts-SGV Parents, Students, and Staff,

Last week, we announced that CSArts-SGV would be changing its on-campus mask requirements, from a mandate to a strong recommendation for all students and staff, in alignment with guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for K-12 schools. As a reminder, this change will go into effect this coming Saturday, March 12. Please click here to read our communication from last week.

Due to the revised guidance from the State, the CSArts-SGV Board of Trustees has also made adjustments to the previously approved Event Patron and Performer Safety Policy. Please click here to view the full updated policy, and see below for a summary of the significant changes implemented, effective immediately:

Changes for Event Patrons:
  • All ticket holders/attendees will no longer be required to provide proof of up-to-date vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test prior to attending a CSArts-SGV event.
  • All ticket holders/attendees will no longer be required, but instead strongly recommended, to wear a medical-grade N95, KN95, or KF94 mask during events and performances. If a ticket holder/attendee does not have a medical-grade N95, KN95, or KF94 mask, one will be provided upon request.

Changes for Student Performers:
  • Masking will be a personal choice for performers and crew. Testing protocols for student performers, student crew, and woodwinds/brass students will continue due to the higher risks associated with these activities.
Thank you for your partnership as we take this step toward what is, hopefully, an endemic phase of the pandemic. CSArts-SGV will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our school community and is committed to providing timely and necessary updates. We appreciate your support!

Sincerely,

CSArts-SGV Administration
