IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES GUIDELINES
Big Brothers Big Sisters is following NJ state guidelines related to COVID-19. We continue to expect our matches to follow CDC and State guidance on Covid safety and in-person interactions -- see the link below to review our guidelines. We ask that you follow these recommendations and discuss mask wearing and activities with each other (parent/guardian/volunteer/child) when planning outings.
ACUA EARTH DAY FESTIVAL
ACUA's 30th Annual Earth Day Fest is being held on
Sunday, April 24 from 10am-4pm, at the
ACUA Environmental Park
6700 Delilah Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
There will be a variety of free, fun and educational activities for all ages to enjoy! The celebration has many exciting events and entertainment options throughout the day, and more than 150 vendors, crafters, food vendors and exhibitors will be part of the celebration. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May County will be there with a table (near the play area), sp please stop by to say hi and hang out with us! We would love to see you there!
EGG HUNTS EVERYWHERE!
The weekend over April 9-10th, egg hunts are being held all over South Jersey! Whether you celebrate Easter or not, there are some fun events being held all over the place! Listed below are links to "Cape May EGGstravanZOO" on April 9th from 10am-2pm and the Rustic Ruhl's Farm 4th Annual Egg Hunt (*live bunnies!*), located at 176 Asbury Rd, Egg Harbor Twp at 12pm. We have also included searches to other celebrations in Atlantic and Cape May Counties. A quick search will reveal egg hunts in almost every town! 'Tis the season for cute little bunnies, and no one is too old for an egg hunt, fresh air, and smiling faces!
SMITHVILLE VILLAGE APRIL ACTIVITIES
If an egg hunt is not your style, feel free to visit Smithville Village's Renaissance Fair, on April 9th & 10th from 11am-6pm. Smithville Village will be transformed into the Shire of Smithville, with fun for everyone!
Smithville Village is also holding a Curated Art Walk on Saturday, on April 23rd from 10am-5pm. There will be over 75 artists on exhibit celebrating art in all forms, from traditional to pop and lowbrow art! Except live music and lots to see and do!
BEACH SWEEPS
Looking to scratch a community service itch, or just spend a few hours down by the ocean? You can help anytime you're at the beach, or register for a Clean Ocean Action Beach Sweep, on April 9th. Registration for this event (adult and child) is required for this event, with more information on the link below. As the weather is warming up, we could all use a little bit of Vitamins D and sea!
CAPE MAY COUNTY EARTH DAY
Cape May County is holding two Earth Day celebrations this year! There is the Earth Day and Marine Debris Clean Up on April 9 at the Nature Center of Cape May, located at 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ from 9am-12pm.
On Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10am-3pm, Cape May County Park & Zoo will co host its Earth Day Celebration with the Cape May County MUA. Join them for a a day of interactive learning and animal inspired fun!!
