There was a robust turnout at our Virtual Town Hall this last Tuesday, January 4, 2022. There was a lot of important information shared and a bevy of questions answered. Having that dialogue is useful to all of us in moving forward as a community. If you were not able to attend or if you would like to review the topics covered, we have a recording of the session available at the link.
It was great to touch base with some families at Kikar Coffee this morning — if you missed it, the first Friday of each month is the time to sit and catch up with fellow parents as well as staff. Put it on your calendar and enjoy the complimentary coffee and relax in our outdoor space.

The Senior Project Program Is on the Horizon
Introduction: February 2, 2022
The Senior Project Program provides seniors the opportunity in the final weeks of their Kehillah journey to deepen their intellectual, social, and moral interests within professional and community settings. Through meaningful internships and service-learning projects our seniors bring their Kehillah education to bear on challenges facing the wider world. This opportunity, we believe, will help students better understand themselves and the world around them, enabling them to create extraordinary futures. The Senior Project itself will take place formally from May 11 to June 10. We will get the ball rolling on February 2nd during senior seminar.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact,
Senior Project Program Coordinator.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Unlocking the Power of Emotions
Featuring Marc Brackett, PhD, in conversation with Scott Erickson, PhD
As we continue to navigate this post-pandemic life, our emotions can serve as key sign-posts for developing strategies to better manage the stress and uncertainty of what comes next. Tapping into our emotions and naming them can help us make better decisions, build stronger relationships, perform better academically and professionally, and improve our health. In this talk Dr. Brackett will discuss how giving our children and ourselves permission to feel our feelings and name them can increase our ability to regulate tough emotions using tools such as the “mood meter” and “meta moment” to be our best selves in addressing day to day stressors.
