Dear Kehillah,

Congratulations on a healthy and safe first semester! I want to remind everyone that Kehillah has adopted the CDC recommendations for international and domestic travel as our policy. Kehillah recommends testing before traveling to keep those whom you are visiting safe and requires a PCR test five days after return from travel. Any individual who travels by airplane or train or crosses the US border and is not vaccinated will have to attend school remotely while they await post-travel test results.
When we return from break we will test twice that week to help mitigate and catch any potential holiday travel germs. We will require testing on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and Friday, January 7, 2022. We will continue the subsequent weeks with testing offered on Wednesday and Thursday, but only require one day per week. Kehillah will also have Antigen tests on hand if someone begins feeling symptomatic.

Winter Concert 2021
The Winter Concert was an evening of stellar performances by our student musicians AND some surprise performances by teachers that you may not have expected could sing as well as they instruct. To check out the live-stream and footage direct from the front row, you can visit the linked page. Kol Hakavod to all the performers and to Mr. Romero for all that he does to support young artists.

The Senior Project Program Is on the Horizon
Introduction: February 2, 2022

The Senior Project Program provides seniors the opportunity in the final weeks of their Kehillah journey to deepen their intellectual, social, and moral interests within professional and community settings. Through meaningful internships and service-learning projects our seniors bring their Kehillah education to bear on challenges facing the wider world. This opportunity, we believe, will help students better understand themselves and the world around them, enabling them to create extraordinary futures. The Senior Project itself will take place formally from May 11 to June 10. We will get the ball rolling on February 2nd during senior seminar.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact,
Senior Project Program Coordinator.
Class Trips Are a GO!

*Students that do not attend will enjoy special programs on campus

*Juniors and Seniors must have their booster to visit Israel
We are thrilled to have a resounding 85-90% of students signed up to participate in class excursions! We will continue to monitor conditions but are still feeling confident about plans and are excited for the upcoming adventures. See this Trip Update email sent out 12/13/21 for more info.

Athletics Update - That's a Wrap

That’s a wrap on 2021. It was a light week for Kehillah athletics, as we finished our preseason basketball schedule with a doubleheader against Mid-Peninsula on Tuesday.

The boys started the afternoon with a close contest for the first three quarters and then pulled away in the fourth. The final was Kehillah 60 and Mid-Peninsula 47, and was led by Ittai K. (19 points), and Josh L. (17 points). The girls followed with another close game that was dominated by solid defense and came down to the final minutes with clutch three pointers by both teams. The Kehillah girls pulled away at the end to finish the day’s sweep with a 21-12 win. The team was led by Olivia S. (10 points) and Ilana K. (9 points).

Kehillah sports will take a hiatus over the Winter break, and will be in full swing come early January.

If you are interested in playing a Spring sport (tennis, track, or boys volleyball), please take a look at this document and begin working on your athletic forms (linked below).

We hope you have a wonderful couple weeks and GO RAMS!!
