Bottom Line Up Front: TRAC Senior Analyst Daniel Lebowitz - who specializes in both right and left wing extremist groups - reports this week on the disbandment of the paramilitary, Neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division (AWD). Members of AWD approached James Mason, the unofficial ideologue behind the group and author of the influential 'SIEGE' tract to announce AWD's dissolution in an audio message. Lebowitz attributes the move to recent crackdowns by the FBI on AWD members and a lack of internal discipline. The move comes as other high profile Nationalist Socialist groups, such as The Base and Feuer Krieg Divison, are also disbanding due to pressure from law enforcement. TRAC has not seen an abatement of Nationalist Socialist propaganda and chatter on Telegram since the break up of these groups. Though it is unclear where supporters will reemerge, calls for lone wolf attacks by white nationalists have not subsided.

On 09 March 2020, Italy effectively closed all public spaces limiting access to essential businesses such as grocery stores and pharmacies due to the serenity of the Coronavirus epidemic. Prison riots immediately broke out at the news that visitation rights would be suspended over Coronavirus scares. Anarchists in Italy, immediately capitalized on the government lockdown by issuing statements in solidarity with the prisoners. The following statement "Interruptions" suggests that the imposed lockdown is a vast conspiracy to control the population in favor of automation. The statement further posits that there is no actual health emergency, the government is attempting total domination of the human species.

The group has been actively targeting the In-Delimane (Ansongo) since November 2019. Because of its location, before ISGS, the area was targeted by JNIM. On 14 March, Badawy began collecting on the ISWA/ISGS suicide bombing targeting a French and Malian convoy.
