Ma Chadash: What's New at Adat Shalom?

Shabbat Morning Services and Bar Mitzvah of Silvan and Caden Unger at 9:30 AM

Join the community in calling Silvan Unger, son of Noam Unger and Caroline Wadhams, and his cousin, Caden, to the Torah as Bar Mitzvah!

Minyan Pashut at 9:45 AM in the Library

Minyan Pashut is an informal, participatory, lay-led Reconstructionist service, with a dash of Havurah Movement flavor, held more or less every other month concurrently with the main service in the sanctuary. We’re do a bit less talking or explaining and focus more on mindfully experiencing the prayers; singing them; “flowing” into them. A volunteer presents intellectually penetrating comments (Divrei Torah) on the weekly portion, which stimulate an in-depth conversation to explore the topics raised. We wrap up with a "bissel schnapps" and then join the rest of the community for the Oneg lunch.

Torah School Registration

Torah School parents can receive a 10% discount on student discounts if registered and PAID IN FULL by June 15 ^th . Or take a 5% discount and register by June 15. To register, click here!

Security Update and Shomrim Training

Following up Shay HaLevi’s presentation regarding Adat Shalom security and Marla’s comments from the annual meeting, we are launching the “Shomrim (guardians) Training Program” and registration. Registration is free and open to all members ages 16+. We ask that if you are planning on serving as an usher in future onegs, to please complete this training as soon as possible.
