Art of Recovery Exhibition on Display: Art and Voice
Creating artwork provides an outlet and voice for individuals that have struggled with mental health issues in some aspect of their lives. While art can heal the artist through the process of creating, others are influenced as viewers. Come into the library and experience the Art of Recovery exhibition "Art and Voice" through the entire month of January, presented by Rusty Harden Studio.

The art on display is from artists who have been impacted personally, having their art reflect recovery from mental illness or addiction. The artists have works on display that range from painting and drawing to sculpture, mixed media, crafts, photography and poetry. The artists involved in the exhibit typically reside in Darke, Miami and Shelby Counties, although submissions from other counties have occasionally been received. Many of these artists use their art to express their personal journeys with recovery from mental illness and addiction, while others have been touched as family members, friends, advocates and service providers.

Meet the artists/contributors on Thursday, January 23 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Thanks to Rusty Harden Studio for showcasing this event.
