Email Express
October 18, 2018
Dear Lovejoy Community:

Yesterday you received a Special Edition of Email Express regarding a cultural study. I hope you will take time to complete the survey this week. We will use your insights to shape a collaborative cultural immersion session with the goal of articulating our core values and translating them into our actions, programs, and community. If you missed the earlier communication, you may click here to access the information and link to the survey.

Yesterday was a school holiday for Lovejoy High School students only. Be sure to read the message from our Deputy Superintendent Dennis Muizers in this edition of Email Express. Dennis explains the reason for this time off for high school students.

Early voting begins next week and the Lovejoy Administration Building is a Collin County Vote Center. Due to our increased safety and security measures, voting will be held in the Administration Building Training Room, Portable #1.

As you know our 5th grade students go to the Collin County Adventure Camp. They attended camp this week, Monday - Wednesday, and while the weather may not have been ideal, the kids had a great time. Even with the rain and cold, they participated in both indoor and outdoor activities. Here are a couple of pictures from camp:

Private tutoring is available for students in grades K-12 in all subjects. Tutoring 101 recommends once a week tutoring for an hour to increase grades and learn subject matter more deeply. A once a week appointment usually results in an increase of 1 letter grade or more. Turn those C's into B's.
