The summer months always pass quickly. At OLQP, the halls are never completely empty. Summer camp kept things hopping. Children enjoyed trips to the pool, STREAM activities, field trips, and fellowship. In the midst of that constant flurry of activity, admin staff and teachers alike worked to prepare for the BIG DAY on August 15, when we welcomed both our new families and returning friends.

                OLQP staff logged many professional development hours in preparation for 2018-2019. Training on the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishop's Accreditation Cycle, Writer's Workshop, STREAM activities, how to organize classrooms for individualized and small group instruction, new handbooks, Vertical Alignment, lesson planning, classroom management, and more were attended and shared. Time was also dedicated to team work and mentoring. The teachers' pride in their classrooms and their creativity are on display. Check out the door decorations posted on OLQP Facebook page. Students' creativity has already been celebrated as summer reading reports are being shared. Students have experienced problem solving and harvesting sunflower seeds.

                It is exciting to be back together for another great year at OLQP where we are "instilling knowledge and inspiring Faith" everyday! Thank you for being part of the mission and ministry of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School.
