Summer Reading is on the Way!
We're putting together our summer reading lists for all ages, from picture books to young adult. Our lists feature the best new paperbacks, including graphic novels and non-fiction, plus a few irresistible hardcovers.

To make it even more fun, we're setting up a summer reading challenge with prizes! More details coming soon.

Independent Bookstore Day 
Are You Ready For Independent Bookstore Day?!  
Join us on Saturday, April 28th for the party that takes place at Indie Bookstores across the country!

We'll be celebrating with ten local authors who will be roaming the store, talking to you and your kids, and giving you book suggestions and recommendations. (Of course we'll let them sign books too!)

We'll also have activities, including a
kids' coloring table and storytelling. Join us for the fun from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

We go international! One of our Bookies sent us this wonderful picture of two fans of The Bookies Bookstore who live in South Africa, reading Brian Selznick's new early reader, Baby Monkey, Private Eye. In this fun book, Baby Monkey is on the case...as long as he remembers to put on his pants...
