Updates to Our Returned Items Process
Our library continues to stay up-to-date on the latest research and relies on Ohio Library Council (OLC) to provide information related to ongoing studies with COVID-19 and library materials. Battelle, a global research and development organization, released a new study indicating library items should be quarantined for five days, instead of their last study which recommended items be quarantined for four days. Based on this new recommendation, our library will have a longer quarantining period for returned items. This will affect the wait time of materials placed on hold and will also affect returned items removed off of your account. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make adjustments to our services to ensure the safety of our staff and community. As always, our library remains fine free, so you will not be charged any fees relating to returned items and our quarantining process. If you have any questions, feel free to call us during our hours of operation at (937) 667-3826 or email us at info@tippcitylibrary.org.
Final Days to Submit Word for Large Art Installation
The countdown begins! There are only a handful of days remaining before our library gets a makeover to our exterior wall facing the alley. Our library has hired muralist, Atalie Gagnet, for the large art installation that will be taking place in September. Words submitted by the community will be considered to be included as part of the mural. Don't miss out on this opportunity to submit your word now! Click here to submit the word that comes to mind when you think of Tipp City before August 31. Click here to learn more about the process.

Virtual Book Club
Catch up with our library's Virtual Book Club this week on our Facebook page. This week, we focus on the novel The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.

The Hate You Give follows Starr Carter and her life as she alternates between prep school and her life at home in the poor neighborhood where she grew up. Starr's life is shattered when she witnesses the fatal shooting of her best friend, Khalil, at the hands of the police. Khalil's death soon makes national headlines, and Starr is caught in the middle, as what she does or does not say could upend her community and endanger her life.
