2019 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The 2019 LA Fashion District Business Improvement District Board of Directors election concluded on Monday, December 3 , 2018 at 5 PM. The following candidates have been elected to the Board of Directors and will begin their term on January 1 , 2019: Mark Chatoff, Matthew Haverim, Elisa Mermelstein Keller, Steven Kim, Yul Kwon, Dean Nucich, and Lisa Korbatov. Current Board Members Brad Luster and Laurie Rosen have termed out of the Board of Directors. 
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to the outgoing Board Members for their service and dedication to the LA Fashion District.
MEET YOUR NEW DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Miranda Edwards joins the Fashion District BID as the Deputy Director of Marketing & External Relations. In this role, she will be responsible for the BID's marketing, public relations & events, as well as oversee communications with stakeholders, property & business owners, and the general public. Her previous BID experience includes 4 years in Downtown Tempe, AZ and a short stint with the DCBID here in Downtown Los Angeles. Miranda says it's her mission to connect people with places using everything from traditional marketing and advertising campaigns to creative placemaking and public space activations. "I am truly honored to be working with such an amazing team here at the LA Fashion District BID, and to be doing what I love in one of the most dynamic urban districts in the world. I'm confident that my passion for people and places will be fulfilled as we continue to elevate the Fashion District and tell our story to the rest of the world."

NEW IN THE DISTRICT
La Tropezienne opened its second location on November 6th. You can find signature items like the La Tropezienne Classic, Macarons and Eclair Tropezien.
The new location is located at 757 S Main St. 
Neihule Salon opened a new location in DTLA with the talk of this location transforming into a full academy of beauty. Visit their website to see their full services here.
Neihule Salon + Academy is located at 305 E 8th St. 
Expanding from Long Beach, Cuernavaca's Grill opened its second location at 429 E 11th St. They are known for their authentic home made Mexican meals, ranging from tacos to mariscos and so much more. 

Other new businesses in the district include: Almighty (a streetwear and skate shop) and SALT art gallery
