Dr. Lucy Ziurys Receives LAD Laboratory Astrophysics Prize
 
The American Astronomical Society (AAS) is awarding its 2019 Laboratory Astrophysics Prize to Prof. Lucy Ziurys for her outstanding contributions to rotational spectroscopy of transient molecules and radio astronomy.
 



Marc Tischler Receives Dean's List for Excellence in Teaching Award
 
Dr. Marc Tischler was selected by the medical student body to receive the College of Medicine Award for Dean's List for Excellence in Teaching, Year 2.

Dawne Cylwik (BS Microbiology with Chemistry minor, 2009) After graduation I attended the UA College of Pharmacy and went on to complete a pharmacy residency at El Rio Community Health Center. I currently work at El Rio as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist seeing patients with diabetes and other chronic health conditions. I recently had a little boy and am loving my life as a mother.
Zainab Sadeq (BS Biochemistry, 2016) I came to the United States from Iraq 9 years ago. With the support of my husband, I was able to graduate while pregnant with my son, making m y graduation day in 2016 the biggest day in my life. Currently I am a staff instructor at Pima Community College, and I am applying to pharmacy school.
Aishan Shi (BS Biochemistry; BS Microbiology; BA English, 2013; MBA Business Administration, 2014) I currently am a fourth-year medical student at the UA College of Medicine - Phoenix. Together with Dr. Brown, I have put together an English class on medical pathologies/themes and their effects on individuals and societies in six Shakespearean plays. I teach lectures and discussions with support from Dr. Brown. The course runs in the second half of the Spring semester on MWF 4-5:40 pm.
