"The earth is [ His]  and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." Psalm 24:1 NIV
08.20.18
Hello MCS Families!

We are hopeful that you have had a wonderful summer full of experiences that bond families and friendships together. While time to recharge the batteries is essential, please know that we have missed all of you. The building has been torn apart and is quickly returning to a redesigned state, and is ready to come alive again with the kind of life and vibrancy only YOU can bring. Even though we will not be fully back together until this coming Monday, the MCS Staff has been communicating and I can say with certainty that they are ready and excited for the new year. With only two short weeks left until your return, we wanted to reach out to you with some important updates about the 2018-2019 school year.

2018-2019 MCS Theme
The Administrative Team has prayed through and been in significant discussion over the theme this year. All ideas and verses that came forward seemed to have this connectedness to where our individual identity, our school identity and where MCS's Bright Future is found. The 2018-2019 MCS Theme will be: "HIS" and our theme verse will be Psalm 24:1 (NIV)  "The earth is [His] and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."  We are His and we look forward to exploring His plans for each of us in relationship with Him as He has called us to be His Difference Makers for His Kingdom.

Construction
It has been quite a summer at MCS! We are excited to unveil all God has done within our Phase 1 Bright Future renovation. Our Construction Team is maintaining their deadlines and we are on target to be ready for your arrival back on campus for Meet the Teacher Day on September 4th. For details on the construction progress, please visit this link.

Elementary and Middle School Goals
Our team stands ready to further develop our five MCS Core Values: Love for Christ, Exemplary Academics, Whole Child Focus, Connected Community, and Culture of Innovation. For more details on specific goals for Middle School and Elementary please take the time to read these welcome back letters from our Middle School Principal Mrs. Harrison and our Elementary Principal Mrs. Biancalani.

Meet the Teacher Day
We look forward to having the MCS Family back together and greeting our New Families on Tuesday, September 4th. We have a staggered schedule planned with TK-5th grade from 8:30-9:45AM and 6th-8th grade from 10:00-11:15AM. Rest assured that no family is precluded from coming at the earlier or later time based upon a specific scheduling conflict. For more details, please click here.

Welcome New Faculty and Staff
Please take a moment to meet our new incoming Faculty and Staff (below) for the 2018-2019 school year. We are so grateful for each and every person God has led to MCS.

A Prayerful Community on the First Day
Once again this year, we want to call upon our community to spend a few more minutes together in prayer to our King and the plans He has for MCS this year. On Wednesday, September 5th, our gates will open at 7:30 as normal. We will then all join together as a Middle and Elementary School and pray over our students corporately at 8:00. For this day only, all of our students will go in together at 8:10 (with the exception of 8th grade who will have their picture taken). From 8:15 to 8:45 our Parents In Prayer (PIP) group will have stations set up around the school with prayer topics to bring before the Lord. We hope you will be able to stop at one of the stations or even a few. Prayer station topics and locations will be sent to you in advance. Please mark your calendar to join us!!
