Sagamore Council Welcomes  Scout Executive Ben Blumenberg
Ben Blumenberg has joined Sagamore Council as our Scout Executive. Ben is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoys the outdoors, which explains the fact that he was a camp director and summer camp staffer for 13 summers. He graduated from the University of Saint Mary with a bachelor's degree

It is summer camp time. Be sure to register for classes as soon as possible to be able to lock in first choices. Camp Buffalo offers an excellent, well-rounded program for Boy Scouts. The Cub Scout Day Camps will be held at Camp Buffalo, July 11-14, Hidden Lake Resort in Fairmount, June 20-23, Cary Camp in Lafayette, July 25-28 and at the Geneva Center in Rochester on June 6-9, 2017. All day camping opportunities require registeration as a unit at
CampMaster.

Hey Sagamore Nation! We hope you have been following us on Facebook. We'll try to utilize our Twitter feed a little more frequently as well this summer as we burst into our FUN camping season. Be sure to encourage your Scout parents to follow us on social media as well. As a unit leader, it can often be difficult to disperse information about everything in the unit, district, and council. However if your parents check out social media as well as our web page, they should be able to find out all about upcoming events and training opportunities.

Great News! Training Made Easier to Attain
My.Scouting.org E-Learning has added
Scoutmaster Specific and
Merit Badge Counselor Training as well as updating
Troop Committee Challenge. Online training modules take approx. the same amount of time to complete as attending a classroom training session. Please take advantage of these trainings to provide the best experience for the youth we serve.
Youth Protection Training is now required before anyone is approved to serve in the position of Merit Badge Counselor.
