From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
As we enter into our third week of Lent (and the month of March!), we will be adding on to our yearly theme. This month we will be concentrating on Faith. How appropriate, don't you think? Lent is such a strong representation of our Catholic Faith. Its rituals and celebrations are times for us to really reflect on who we are as a Catholic School. Each and every classroom has daily practices to help remind students of this most sacred time of the year. Just a reminder that we do pray the Stations, as a school, every Monday at 1:30pm. The classes lead the Stations and we have lovely cantors leading our music.
Please join us if you can spare 45 minutes on Monday afternoon. We would love to have you come and pray with us!
ITBS Testing will begin on Monday, March 5th. Students in Grades 2-7 take these standardized tests. Please be sure your child gets lots of rest and has a good breakfast. Please try not to schedule doctor or orthodontic appointments during this week. It can be difficult to get an accurate score when students are "making up" the tests. We appreciate your help with this.
The Parish Mission will take place Sunday- Tuesday, March 4-6. There are planned activities for all ages while the adults are listening to fantastic presentations by Jeanne Cotter. There is also a family service opportunity on Saturday. A flyer with information was sent home with each student.
Find information and sign up here. Hope to see you there!
Lenten Blessings!

Calling all Catholic boys who'd like to play baseball this summer!
For the past seven years, a growing group of Catholic boys has played baseball together in the broader Lake Country Youth Baseball recreational program. The teams are led by Catholic fathers who work with other available dads to teach boys the fundamentals of the game, develop character, build strong friendships, and instill Catholic virtues while enjoying the game of baseball. The effort has yielded strong dividends on the field and off, for boys and their families. This year, teams are available for boys currently in K4/K5 (T-ball), 1st/2nd grade (coach-pitch), 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th grade (all player-pitch). No previous playing experience is required.
The program is based in Hartland with practices and games played in the Lake Country area. The season runs from early May through July and typically involves 2-3 nights per week. Fees range from $50 to $134, depending on age (plus a 5-hour volunteer commitment per family). Teams may fill up so please get your registration in early. To register, please email Tim Gibbons with your name, contact information and the names and grade levels of boys to be registered. Or call Tim at (262) 510-3086 for more information.
