Religious School Happenings
A Message from Religious School Principal, Lois Tompkins

We are getting excited about our
Mitzvah Day on Sunday, December 13.  Our VP of Religious School, Stacy Aubrey, has been in contact with parents of all grades.  Please contact her to get involved.  We need drivers, parents to accompany us on the bus and at the sites, and facilitators.  We teach best by modeling behavior: a mitzvah project is most meaningful if we show our children that it is important to us, too!
K and 1st grade: will be singing Hanukkah songs at River Garden with Hazzan Holzer
2nd and 3rd grade: will be visiting FANN (JFCS food bank) to learn about feeding the                poor.  P lease help us by donating some items for them to bring.
4th an 5th grade: will be visiting the residents at River Garden, bringing them gifts and             cards that they made in class.
6th and 7th grade: to be announced (Parents will be notified this week)

T he staff wishes all of our families a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Religious School parents, please remember that a PTA representative will be available during car-line pickup on Sunday to collect your voluntary contribution for Galinsky Academy holiday gifts. Let's be sure to show our gratitude to our Religious School teachers and staff for all they do.
