December Program Reminders
SPORTS

NEW! Disc Golf Indoor Putting League - Jan. 5 - March 8! 
SEE FLYER FOR DETAILS  &  register online  or at the Y. We are thrilled to be offering this new "Birdie Bankers" winter league for kids & adults ages 7+. League meets on Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the Y gym.  The focus is to increase putting accuracy from 45 feet away & in to the basket. We'll cover PDGA rules for putting & different styles of putting. All skill levels welcome, beginner to Pro. Groups will be divided by ages & ability.  Instructor: Josh Moore, PDGA Member, PDGA Certified Rules Official, TEAM TRILOGY. Fee: $20 Y-Members; $30 Community Participant.

2016 Men's Basketball League - Register By Dec. 18:  
Register your team now at the Y! Get a registration packet at the Y, or download one  HERE This is a fast-paced, friendly recreational league. Games are held on Wednesday nights starting January 6 - Feb. 24. A minimum of 4 teams required for league to run. Contact Sports Director Mike Coolidge with questions at 262-248-6211 or mcoolidge@glymca.com.

Adult Co-Ed Indoor Volleyball League - Teams Needed! 
Register your team now at the Y! Get a registration packet at the Y, or download one  HERE . Games are held on Wednesday nights starting January 6 - Feb. 24. We need a few more teams for the league to run, so gather your friends, church groups, or co-workers & sign up today for this fun, recreational league!

Registration Deadline for Winter Skills & Drills Basketball Is Jan. 2.
This program is for boys & girls in grades K-3. Get a registration form here. Sign up at the Y.

SAVE THE DATE! Jan. 30 - Youth Baseball/Softball Skill Evaluations
Mandatory skill evals for girls ages 10-12 & boys ages 9-12 will be held at Badger High School on Jan 30 & Feb 13 from 9-12 noon. This is for the non-travel leagues (Major League, Colt League & Senior Softball), along with the travel leagues -- Cactus League baseball & Quad County softball. You must attend one of the dates, & you will also be able to register on those days too.  Fees are $35 for the non-travel leagues & $75 for the Cactus League & Quad County travel programs.  We will also be offering evals & accepting registrations for the Travel Tournament Baseball teams (U-10 & U-11). Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification -  Dec. 5 (8:30am-2pm) 

Free Swim Team Trial/Level Placements - Jan. 7, 6:00pm
Do your kids love to swim? Join our swim team this winter! No need to register for placements, just show up, meet our coaches & swim.  To join GYST, swimmers must be able to complete at least 2, 25-yard swims using front & back crawl with good form, & know the basics of breaststroke & butterfly. The GYST winter session runs Jan. 4-March 13. Learn more.

YMCA Swim-A-Thon - Jan. 9
Our youth (GYST) & adult swim teams will host this fun event. Challenge yourself to swim 70 or 200 lengths, & raise funds for our pool & teams! Get a registration packet at the front desk & contact Coach Lindsey Mikrut at 262-248-6211 for details.

Register for YMCA Christmas Break Camps!
Your kids in grades 4K-5 will have a blast in our action-packed YMCA School Day Out Camp! Swimming is included! Early registration is recommended. Financial assistance is available. Visit our camp website for a registration packet & sign up at the Y.
