Student Pick Up and Drop Off Locations
|
In the morning, student drop off will be along Sampson Street where students will be able to enter through the gate and main entrance.
Please drop your child off on the school side of the street so they do not have to cross through traffic.
In the afternoon, car pick up is along Jefferson Street only. Students must exit out the end of the sophomore hallway and meet their vehicle on Jefferson Steet. Students will not be allowed to cross Sampson Street to meet vehicles.
|
Visitor and Parent Parking
|
Parking for parents and visitors to our campus is parallel parking on Sampson Street. The only entrance for visitors and parents is our main entrance on Sampson Street. In order to meet safety and security needs all other doors will be locked. |
Energy's official ADA time this year is
10:10 AM.
Please schedule your child's appointments so that he or she is back to school by 10:10 AM or leaves after 10:10 AM. We receive our funding based on attendance at this time. Funding allows us to provide more for your child!

We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable winter break! We are excited to welcome students back to campus tomorrow, Tuesday, January 5th.
|
The first day of the second semester we typically have more student drop offs. Please plan accordingly and leave some extra time in your morning schedule for some delays and traffic.
Tomorrow morning, students will report to their first semester, first period class to receive their second semester schedules. The regular day bell schedule will be followed with students attending all classes.
Schedule change requests are due to your dean by Friday, January 8th. You can pick them up outside of your dean's office. Due to our cohort system and specialized course offerings, schedule changes requests are difficult to accomodate unless you are requesting to change the class level (PreAP to Prep, etc.).
Congratulations to ninth grade student Angie Gianonni! She is the winner of the $100 gift card raffle for successfully completing the Scavenger Hunt at the Ocean Star Offshore Energy Center field trip last month! |
IPAA Application Extension |
Important announcement for all eleventh grade students! The IPAA Summer Externship application deadline for juniors has been extended until January 6th. This is an excellent opportunity we hope you will take advantage of. Be sure to check the HUB page for application information and criteria. Please see your dean if you have any questions.

We are very excited to welcome our new nurse, Ms. Jennifer Jones to the Energy family! Ms. Jones started at Energy in December and dove right in spending time meeting with students, doing inventory checks and getting familiar with the school. Jennifer has extensive experience working as an RN at a number of hospitals in Houston, Boca Raton, Washington D.C., and Kalamazoo, MI. In addition, Ms. Jones is a dedicated and accomplished athlete. She competes in a variety of Crossfit competitions throughout the country and at the 2013 CrossFit Games she earned the title as the 6th Fittest Woman on the Planet. Her dedication is evident and we know she will do a wonderful job serving our students!
From Nurse Jones:
I'd like to extend an invitation to our parents to stop in the office and say hello, especially if your child may be needing nursing services, has medications that they should be taking during school hours, or if they have medical needs or questions. I'm doing my best to reach out to the parents of children that I have papers on, to verify and update my records. I look forward to working with all of you and helping provide our students with the best support system and environment for success.
Sincerely,
Jenn Jones
