A Message from Religious School Principal, Lois Tompkins
We are getting excited about our Mitzvah Day on Sunday, December 13. Our VP of Religious School, Stacy Aubrey, has been in contact with parents of all grades. Please contact her to get involved. We need drivers, parents to accompany us on the bus and at the sites, and facilitators. We teach best by modeling behavior: a mitzvah project is most meaningful if we show our children that it is important to us, too!

It has been an exciting time for me as I transitioned to the role of the Jacksonville Jewish Center's vice president for education and chairperson of the Galinsky Academy cabinet.  Dear parents,
Every year we strive to show our teachers and staff appreciation for educating and loving our children.
Several years ago the idea of a group gift for the winter holiday came into being, as we are so fortunate to have so many people impacting our children's lives. From teachers to office staff to resource staff to maintenance, we are so grateful.
Won't you consider joining the group gift in a gesture of saying "thank you for all that you do" and ensure that every staff member receives something?
The suggested amount per family is $40 which will be used to give every staff member a gift card and special treat. Of course, parents are welcome to show appreciation in their own way as well.
Please turn your money into your room parent no later than
November 20 so we have ample time to prepare. Cash or checks payable to JJC PTA.
