Get a 5 percent discount on your auto insurance or erase points from you or your teen's driver's license by attending the next two-day East Brunswick Friends of the Library's Defensive Driving Course.
Eligible drivers can erase two points from their driver's license and/or get a five percent discount for three years on a portion of their auto insurance by attending both sessions.
Approved by the State of New Jersey, the course is taught by an experienced police detective-accident investigator. Participants must attend two consecutive evenings for credit. Course costs vary according to goal: for a 2 point reduction on your license, $65; for an insurance discount, $55. For both, the cost is $65.
Attendance is mandatory and refunds cannot be given for partial attendance. Applications are available at the Circulation desk or online. Registration is required and seating is limited to 30 people.
Record.Play

We've been waiting all summer for this. Come see the results of our Record.Play teen film competition. We invited teens to create a "trailer" promoting the services, collections and programs of the East Brunswick Library. At the end of the Festival, the judges will announce the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

The Business Resource Center@East Brunswick Public Library is offering one-on-one job help provided by the Professional Services Group - New Brunswick. An experienced counselor will help you to:
- Fill out online job applications
- Create an email account
- Explore career options
- Identify the best job websites and databases

If you answered "no" to any of these questions or you're not sure, then you are a perfect candidate for our resume review/writing services. You will meet individually with a Business Resource Center Team Member to review your job goals and how to attain them through your resume.

Room Rentals
Meeting rooms for events up to 200 persons are available for use for a fee. There is no minimum attendee requirement, no limit to the number of group meetings, and groups are permitted to charge and/or conduct fundraising activities. Click here for rates, insurance requirements, and the policy. We are centrally located in Middlesex County, with easy access to all major highways.
Our rooms are...State-of-the art, handicap accessible, equipped with TV/DVD players, WiFi, a podium and a flip pad.
Two of our rooms can be set-up in four possible configurations: U-shape, classroom, Seminar, Work Group
A third room can accommodate smaller meetings/trainings
The Business Resource Center at the East Brunswick Public Library proctors exams for anyone who is pursuing traditional college degrees, distance learning or certification in a trade or specialty. All exams are proctored by professional librarians in accordance with the guidelines of each institution.

EBTV Has Moved, EBPLay Media Lab is open!
By now I trust that all our residents are aware that EBTV has been moved by Comcast Cable to Channel 26. This change only affects Comcast Cable subscribers. EBTV keeps everyone up to date on township news, events, council meetings, high school sports and special announcements - so come see us on our new channel 26. This move does not affect Verizon Fios customers who can still view EBTV on channels 37 and 38.
Have you dropped by the library yet to try out our new digital media lab - EBPLay? The library's IT department have been busy adding new Photoshop software and teaching some classes on the editing suite that is now available on the apple computers in the lab. The digital media lab has a little something for everyone! So if you have a few days off and want to have some fun learning a new skill to create movies or a special photo montage, be sure to drop by the library and ask for a tour of EBPLay.

EBPLay, the Library's media lab, includes five Mac computer work stations, all with Final Cut Pro, digital editing software, so that patrons of all ages can edit and produce their own movie masterpieces. This workshop is designed to introduce beginners on how to use the software. The workshop is free and limited to 10 people.
Funding for the EBPlay Media Lab was provided by the New Jersey State Library and LibraryLinkNJ, the New Jersey Library Cooperative whose services are funded by the New Jersey State Library, which is responsible for the coordination, promotion, and funding of the New Jersey Library Network.
