Sensiba LLP, a top-75 accounting and business consulting firm, has been named to the Real Leaders 2025 “Top Impact Companies” list.
Sensiba has been awarded this honor six years in a row as Real Leaders highlights privately owned businesses making exceptional contributions to society and the planet.
This year’s competition attracted over 300 applicants from more than 15 countries, with companies assessed on their growth, revenue, and six pillars of I.M.P.A.C.T.: Intention, Model, People, Accountability, Collaboration, and Transformation. Through a rigorous evaluation process, the companies that embody purpose-driven leadership were ranked and celebrated.
“We’re proud to be honored again by Real Leaders,” said Managing Partner John Sensiba. “This award speaks to our people-first culture and our commitment to serving our clients, our communities, and our planet while striving to be empathetic, open-minded, and kind.”
The 2025 ranking criteria excluded nonprofits and publicly traded companies, and increased the minimum revenue requirement to $2 million. The list features a mix of respected brands of all sizes from a variety of industries, with honorees including companies such as: Cotopaxi, PATH, Alter Eco Foods, Phlow, Climate First Bank, Salas O’Brien, Bevi, and Pantys
“We wanted to spotlight businesses that are genuinely dedicated to making a difference,” said Kevin Edwards, President of Real Leaders. “By incorporating CEO interviews and community-driven impact evaluations, we ensured that only the most deserving organizations made the list.”
A “Real Leaders UNITE” awards celebration was held in San Diego on February 3-4, 2025, to honor the winners, connect their CEOs, and inspire better leadership.

Zone 7 Celebrates Upcoming Completion of its Second PFAS Treatment Plant
Zone 7 Water Agency (Zone 7) continues to strategically invest in groundwater treatment infrastructure to ensure the Tri-Valley’s drinking water remains safe from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as “forever chemicals.” This month, Zone 7 will celebrate the completion of its second Ion Exchange (IX) PFAS treatment plant at the Chain of Lakes wellfield, which will be operational this month, and is currently planning a third treatment plant at the Mocho Wellfield in Pleasanton. The Livermore Valley Groundwater Basin plays a critical role in providing reliable water for the area, especially during droughts. Investments in PFAS treatment infrastructure will ensure that the basin remains a safe and sustainable source of water, further ensuring long-term water reliability for the Tri-Valley.
“As California faces increasing water challenges, expanding our groundwater treatment infrastructure is a critical step in ensuring long-term reliability for the residents of the Tri-Valley,” said Zone 7 Water Agency General Manager Valerie Pryor. “These investments allow us to treat groundwater using state-of-the-art ion exchange treatment, providing families and businesses with a more secure and sustainable water supply when imported State Water Project water is unavailable, as is typical in periods of drought. Our commitment to proactive groundwater management means we are always looking ahead to protect this vital, local resource for our community.”

boons: Transforming Food Delivery in Pleasanton While Empowering Local Restaurants
boons is changing the food delivery game by offering a smarter, more community-focused alternative to traditional third-party apps. Founded by Pleasanton resident Rajeev Garg, boons was born out of a desire to help local restaurants stay profitable while giving customers a better, more affordable delivery experience.
Unlike big-name platforms that charge restaurants 25–30% per order, boons only charges $1, allowing local eateries to keep more of their earnings. This helps them reinvest in quality food, fair staff wages, and enhanced service—without raising menu prices for customers. With no hidden fees and AI-optimized delivery, boons offers faster, more cost-effective ordering directly through its app or a restaurant’s website.
Since its 2021 launch, boons has supported over 200 Tri-Valley restaurants, helping them grow while building stronger ties with their communities. Customers also enjoy loyalty rewards and better pricing—making boons a win-win for food lovers and local businesses alike.
As Rajeev puts it, “When you order through boons, you support local restaurants and strengthen our Pleasanton community.”
Ready to give it a try? Visit order.boons.io or download the boons app today to order from your favorite local spots—without the extra costs.
