In Person OR Zoom: Braid Runner with Linda
This great looking table runner is sewn with a quilt-as-you-go method, which is really fast and easy. Measuring 17”x 52”, when you are finished piecing, just bind it and you’re done! It’s fun to play with the fabric colors to create a 3D effect by going from a light center out to dark borders. Confident beginners welcome. Pattern and machine required. Thurs. In Person: Exploring Collage with Valerie
Choose a design - bird, teacup, roses and more - from one of Emily Taylor’s very well written books: Take Flight or Collage Quilter, and Val will help you create your own unique version. She has many tips and tricks to share that will help you be successful. No previous experience is needed. Book required. Sat. April 5, 10-2pm ($40)

In Person OR Zoom: Intro to Machine Quilting
Learn basics about machine quilting that will make you more successful: proper needles, thread, batting, tools and machine features. Then you will practice some simple designs that are beginner-friendly - first with a walking foot and then free-motion - so you can finish your quilts with confidence. Machine required. Mon. In Person: Sashiko Community with Gail
This class is for beginners and beyond. Gail will teach the stitch and the rhythm of this ancient embroidery stitching. This will also be a time for Sashiko stitchers to come together to continue to develop our rhythm. Bring your own Sashiko projects to show and to work on, as well as any books, techniques, ‘recipes’, you have learned so far. An introductory Sashiko kit is available. Wed. April 9, 9-1pm ($40)

In Person: Longarm Fillers with Liz
For those who would like to learn different methods of quilting “filler” designs, join this free-motion class and get hands-on experience on the stand-up longarm machine. We will cover stippling, swirls, concentric circles, leaves, flowers, and dot-to-dot. All materials will be provided. Fri. April 11, 9:30-12:30pm ($30)

In Person: Longarm Feather Designs with Liz
Learn free motion feather designs on a longarm! Start with a simple "cat’s paw" feather with no backtracking, then proceed to longarm feathers, "hump and bump" (formal Amish feather), "dragons tail feathers", and variations. We will practice quilting feathers into squares, triangles, and wreaths, and start with straight spines and graduate to curved spines. Fri. April 11, 1-4pm ($30)

In Person: One Block Wonder with Valerie
Choose one great fabric and one block shape and make a one-of-a kind quilt. There will be no fussy cutting and no set-in seams. Valerie will share some great organizational tips, and help you choose a dynamic layout. Book and machine required. Series of 2 sessions... Sat. April 12 and May 3, 10-2pm ($80)

In Person: Basting with Cyndi
Do you have a quilt top finished that you need to sandwich or baste in preparation for quilting? Many hands make light work! Needing to baste can halt your progress. Learn to baste in a frame, one top each, and more if there is time. Mon. April 14, 9:30-12pm ($25)

Choose a favorite collection of 6 fat quarters, plus coordinating spacer and sashing fabric. Cyndi will give you tips and lead you through rotary cutting and sewing this delightful 43" x 56" quilt top. Borders could be added to make it bigger. Beginners are welcome. If you have learned the basics of your Pfaff 720, join Linda for hands-on exploration of the more advanced features: stacking stitches, tapering, single and double ribbon stitches, triple stitches, floating stitches and Stitch Creator. In Person OR Zoom: The Gentle Art of Hand Embroidery with Kristin
Join Kristin for the fun and relaxation of hand stitching. In this beginner friendly monthly series, you'll learn new embroidery stitches and enjoy dedicated time to practice the gentle art of embroidery. Each class stands alone and features one or two new stitches. Choose to work on a Tranquil Garden Needle Roll or create a sampler of your own. Wed. April16, 3:30-5:30pm ($20)

In Person OR Zoom: Exploring Everything Jen Kingwell
Join Linda to explore the world of Jen Kingwell quilting, whether you want to begin one of Jen’s patterns or continue with one you have started. For January, February and March, Linda will introduce a new technique from Jen’s Winki Stars pattern, including some hand piecing. Students may work on Winki Stars or another of Jen’s patterns of their choice. Beginning in April, we will explore a new quilt pattern by Jen: Pick a Petal. Beginner friendly.
