On Thursday, March 20, Music at Kohl Mansion welcomed nearly 600 elementary school students, teachers, and parents for a captivating Children’s Concert featuring the dynamic wind quintet WindSync. The morning was filled with excitement as young audiences were introduced to Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf through WindSync’s engaging and theatrical performance.
Many thanks to WindSync for their exceptional artistry, to Dragonfly Community Arts for supporting this project, and to all the educators who helped make this event possible. We look forward to continuing to bring the magic of live music to young audiences through our exciting education and outreach programs.

A Beloved Ensemble’s Farewell: Alexander String Quartet’s Final Performance at Music at Kohl

The Alexander String Quartet stands among the world's premier ensembles, having performed in the major music capitals of five continents. A vital artistic presence in its home base of San Francisco, the quartet retires at the close of this season, capping a brilliant 45-year career. Pianist Jeffrey LaDeur makes his Music at Kohl debut.

Ensemble for These Times (E4TT) presents a free multimedia musical evening exploring women’s immigration and identity. The program features four World Premieres: "Cavities," a new piano trio by Iranian-American Niloufar Nourbakhsh with video by filmmaker Pegah Pasalar; "Orchesography," composed and danced by Han Lash; “Okean” by Tamara McLeod; and "Who Are You Now?" by Clark Evans. Peninsula Ballet Theatre, the Bay Area’s second oldest professional ballet company, has announced its upcoming spring repertory program, showcasing an exciting blend of classical elegance and contemporary innovation. This season's performance highlights include a reimagined one-act version of the legendary classical ballet Don Quixote, featuring choreography by Artistic Director Gregory Amato and Ballet Mistress Nina Amato after Marius Petipa, set to Ludwig Minkus' iconic score. Also included are three world premieres of contemporary ballets.
