Undergraduate Research Mixer
This student/faculty research mixer is hosted by the University Honors Program Club and American Nuclear Society. The event is designed to create a relaxed environment where students can engage with professors across various departments to discuss research opportunities, academic interests, or simply get to know faculty members. It aims to break down the formal barriers typically associated with research inquiries, offering a chance for students to find research mentors or be referred to faculty members who suit their interests. Refreshments and appetizers catered from Chartwells will be provided to foster a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
If professors are unable to attend, they are welcome to have one of their graduate students attend on their behalf. Each research group can also create a slide about their research group's work, and there will also be limited space for some groups to bring posters as well. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 11th from 6-8 PM in the Wood River Room in the Pond Student Union Building.
