Principal's Pen

We had a great week of teaching and learning in Cougar Country!

Cougars Rock-Thank you to everyone who participated in our Boosterthon Spirit Week! All students engaged in character lessons daily that support our IB Learner Profile! We look forward to engaging our students in hands-on learning opportunities as we continue on our academic journey of finishing the year strong!

Lunch Visitors-When visitors report to the school, please sign-in in the front office in order to receive a visitor's badge. We have a system that is in place in CMS schools that will require each visitor to sign into the Lobby Guard system with a valid ID when entering the school. This procedure will ensure your child's safety at all times. As a reminder, we ask that we limit it to 3 guests per student.

Battle of the Books

BCE has an Elementary Battle of the Books team and this year we are hosting one day of the competition on Monday, March 24. Competition teams consist of 12 members, who have read as many of the 16 books as possible. The idea is to remember as many trivial tidbits as possible. There are 4 days of competition this year for CMS Elementary. The winners each day will compete virtually next Friday to see who will move on to regionals and then state. Our team has more than 12 members, but only 12 kids on the team are competing.

You are invited to attend the next SIT meeting on Tuesday, March 25. Be on the lookout for the virtual meeting link.
