WHAT'S HAPPENING

POTLUCK THEOLOGY: A CHURCH FAMILY BRUNCH

Sunday, March 30, 10-11am

Potluck Theology is about bringing our best to the table to share with others and to strengthen our community. This is a fun family event! Bring your favorite brunch item (either made or bought by you) to share with our church family and guests at 10:00am, Sunday, March 30th (there will be no Sunday school). This brunch will be a great time to visit with old and new friends. It’s an opportunity to invite people to your Sunday school or Bible study and find out what’s going on in our church. The delight of Potluck Theology is that all are invited to the table and we get to share our best with others.

CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER: AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE - SAVE THE DATE

On Monday, April 14th, Aledo UMC will host "Christ in the Passover: An Interactive Experience." This powerful, interactive experience, led by a missionary from Jews for Jesus, will illustrate the link between the Jewish feast of Passover and the last supper Jesus shared with His disciples.

Join us for a sensory exploration of the beautiful Jewish ceremony called a seder. As we taste the traditional symbolic foods, we'll weave the story of the exodus and freedom from slavery together with the messianic hope realized in Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. The words "do this in remembrance of me" will take on an even deeper meaning to Christians as we learn the significance of the tradition Jesus observed the night before He died and give us a closer look at the very Jewish life He led.

Jewish or not, religious or not - all are welcome for this unforgettable, thought-provoking experience.
